Glasgow Smile

He went to his cabinet to get a scalpel, leaving her in the dark room tied to the bedposts after their short hours of sexual frenzy.

She couldn't see his face as he came down on hers with the metal. His raucous screaming downed hers.

His hideous grin in the moonlight elongated her smile forever.

Good heavens. Crazy, but awesomely written. Love the morbidity. And the picture. ;)

D2 said...

@Richa : Thanks a lot. :)
The story would have been quite incomplete without the painting. It completes the morbid setting I wanted. :D

Hey...the eyes...your painting reminded me of Christopher Reeves

D2 said...

@Lioness : The eyes look dead. Reeves was paralysed. There's a difference. So I'm not sure I understand the connection you're making. :-/

Anonymous said...

I am not making any connection.I just sayin itz struck me a little bit..ain't I allowed to voice what I think!?:/otherwise the painting is horrifing...I was talking about thjesimilar shape of eyes and the nose structure..not the axe and the death and the blood. I was a great fan of Christipher Reeve's movie 'Somewhere In Time'and his autobiography had appealed to me a lot.That movie of hhis is one of my favourites.That is what I liked Christopher Reeves for..:/

D2 said...

@Lioness : Of course you're allowed to voice your opinions! I just didn't understand your opinion; so I asked. :|
I'll surely check out the movie you mentioned. I never saw much of Christopher Reeves except in the Superman movies, of course. I did like him in those! :)

What came over you to write this?
Chilling nonetheless.

D2 said...

@Wildflower : Thanks. :D

@Purba Di : I saw a movie called 'The Black Dahlia'. It's based on a true story regarding the murder of Elizabeth Short, whose body was found with the Glasgow Smile done to her. That's where I got interested in it.
Glad it shook you! :D

Omg. Freaky. :P But really put well that it actually makes one scared :P :) and the picture. oh god. :P

D2 said...

@Sonshu : Thanks a lot. I hope everyone who read got visual images and get freaked out. The picture managed the rest of the frightening! :D

Its a lovely pic...despite the horrors associated...

Reminded me of Joker from Batman. The glasgow smile I mean.

I adore short stories like these which just pierces you to the core. It's very hard to make your point in a few lines so kudos to you :)

D2 said...

@Antara : Thanks a lot. I'm glad you liked this. :)
And in fact, The Joker does have a Glasgow Smile.
