Into The Light

'Starry Night Over The Rhone' by Vincent Van Gogh

Beyond the mirror as I gaze.
My eyes befall an unexpected trace.
Not of me but of my morrow.
As I behold the bluish lights in my eyes stored.

The time stops still as I stand.
And look beyond my visage and my glance.
The bluish light holds me strong.
And binds my feet firm to the ground.

Seize the day, I heard him say.
For the day after I must not betray.
Holding strong unto my free will.
As my feathers may fall upon the window sill.

As my mind may fly into the night.
My dark wings held aloft in the bluish light.
I fly away, my gaoler broken beyond repair.
To fly on and ever, yet never to stay.

For I may never choose to my haven one abode.
One place of yearning and refuge that I may forebode.
I must need only be free so I can soar.
Into the sky may cry an eagle's roar.

I believe anything in this world may come true.
If only I try and try mighty with my ungodly virtue.
Never to break and never to be shackled down.
From my mouth, loudly, Carpe Diem shall resound.

I just hope nothing keeps you down.

If I had just one thing to say
Before my last breath fades away
Keep your head way up in the clouds
And never let them get you down
Never let them get you down

Keep hoping and dreaming and you will soar
With a little faith and love
You will soar

Frankly, I did not understand why you wrote this and I could not pertain to it either.

Its a wonderful poem, poetically but I am seeing it very objectively.

@Enchanta : I am replying to you seemingly late. But the thing is, until now I didn't know how to reply in the first place.
You didn't understand why I wrote this. I do not know why. But I know that you will. :)

- beautiful!! I read it twice. The second time I could picture the hopeful eyes looking for future…very nice :)

@Megha : I'm glad you liked it so much so that you read it twice. :)
