Wishful Thinking

Lost,
In a sea of wishful thinking.
Staring at the night sky.
And carelessly wondering.

Musical,
These thoughts are and hypnotic.
As she thinks nonchalantly and softly sings.
And gazes at wonders unseen, mesmerising.

Wishful thinking,
She has adrift in her heart.
As she sits by the sea and plays lost with the stars.
And the music of her soul reverberates enchantingly.

Free,
She sits and draws all minds that come near.
Her beauty and wit tell tales like no other.
As her mind remains lost chasing away her fears.

Beautiful,
She remains sitting yonder all alone.
Unaware of all the troubles of now or ever before.
May she remain that way, captivating but not forlorn.

Brightly,
May her fears flee away and contentment shine.
And the faint smile across her face.
Dawn like the new morning sun's rays.

Excellent as always! You know you should write something on "Poetry for dummies". That'll greatly help me.

Thanks, Zave. :D

Aayushi, glad you liked it. And why would you be jealous? Because of the way she is, or because of the poem? :P

I'm jealous because she got to experience all of *that*

Basically it was because you wrote the poem so well, I wanted to feel like that too :D

In the last two stanzas you talk about your wishes for her, but the first four stanzas are what made me jealous, basically, the wonderful moment you have described, I want that now.

@Sammy : Thank you so much. :)

@Aayushi : I see! :P
Well, nobody can be like her because she's one of a kind but I'm sure you can make things work the same way for you somehow. :D
